Privacy Policy

GoFix Plumbing (“GoFix”, “we”, “us”) is a residential plumbing business based in Vaughan, Ontario. This policy explains what personal information we collect through gofixplumbing.ca, why we collect it and how we protect it, in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information you give us

When you request a quote, book a service call, sign up for an inspection or contact us, we collect the details you enter, such as:

• Your name, phone number and email address
• Your city and service address (for bookings)
• The service you need, your preferred date and time window, and any message you include

We use this information only to respond to you, schedule and perform plumbing work, send quotes and invoices, and keep records of the work we've done at your home. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website — for example, which pages are viewed, how visitors arrived (such as from a Google search) and whether the booking form was submitted. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies (such as _ga) and collects information like your approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and pages visited.

We keep analytics minimal: we have disabled Google Signals and advertising personalization features, and we don't use analytics data to identify you personally. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies. You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings. Learn more about how Google uses data.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run this website. They process data only on our behalf:

• Cloudflare — website hosting, security and spam protection (including Turnstile on our forms). Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the site.
• Resend — delivers form submissions to our email inbox.
• Google — Analytics (above), and displaying our Google Business Profile reviews.

Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

Spam protection

Our forms use hidden fields, timing checks and rate limiting to block automated spam. These checks may briefly process your IP address. We don't use it for any other purpose.

How long we keep information

We keep customer and job records for as long as needed to provide service, honour our workmanship obligations and meet tax and legal requirements. Inquiries that don't lead to a job are deleted when no longer needed.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent for us to contact you, at any time by emailing [email protected] or calling 289-807-3259. If you have concerns we can't resolve, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Security

Our website is served only over encrypted HTTPS. Access to customer information is limited to GoFix staff who need it to serve you.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
